Debut YA Novel

"Tvístøða" is the debut novel by 29 year old Danial Viðoy. The YA novel is about Bartal, a young boy from a small town who, when the story begins, is in his third and finishing year in grammer school. Bartal is like most young boys, he hangs out with his friends in his spare time; they go to concerts and festivals, they travel abroad, they party and meet girls. Bartal falls in love with a girl from the capital and life seems to treat Bartal well. However, the relationship with his childhood friend is causing him great concern. Once finished in grammer school, Bartal is looking forward to a summer full of carefree living in company with his friends and girlfriend before heading to Copenhagen to embark on a new journey in life. However, everything takes an unexpected course, and Bartal is challenged by his past in a way that he'd never imagined. "Tvístøða" is published by Ungu Føroyar.
