New Biographical Novel
Best-selling author Høgni Mohr has released the biographical novel “Saga JAM”. The novel is about Jan-Allan Müller, born in 1969, who was the only child of a sickly mother and an alcoholic father.
The young boy turns to football as a safe haven from a home life marked by fear and uncertainty. On the pitch, he goes to great lengths to gain approval from his father. The futility of this endeavour contributes to the boy’s expanding universe of loneliness. As the years roll on and the let-downs pile up, Jan-Allan turns into his own one-man army.
This army marches through the chaotic world of sports to a high-paying profession – a lonely and erratic march culminating in being caught in an act of voyeurism, followed by a jail term for fraud. The journey concludes with death and rebirth.
Saga JAM – widely considered Høgni Mohr’s magnum opus – is 397 pages long.
