FarLit has appointed Ms Urd Johannesen to take over the task of promoting Faroese literature abroad. Urd Johannesen has a M.A. in Language and International Studies from Ålborg University in Denmark and a M.A. in Arts Management from London City University. The last 8 years Urd has been working as project manager at the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands, a cultural venue under the Nordic Council of Ministers. The first task is to prepare the participation at the London Book Fair 14-16 April where FarLit is part of the joint NordLit stand. “I see great potential in promoting Faroese literature, and I look forward to getting in contact with all existing associates and hope to bring new ones into the network”, says Urd Johannesen who started her job at FarLit 3 March. For future email contact with Urd, please use the following email: urd@farlit.fo
