New poetry collection

Sprotin has published a new poetry collection by psychologist and poet, Svanna Jákupsdóttir. The new release is titled Yvir um ferð and is her second poetry collection after Oyðilendi (2022).

The publisher describes the poetry collection as an exploration of emotions, sexuality, the Moon’s orbit, and endless repetitions – both clean and dirty. Blood and ovulation and judgmental moral voices outside of the body, as well as children and commitments and fledged children and some fresh air that puts the commitments into perspective – women with a shared fate come together, and thus a sunny spring day with clean pillowcases in the wind sweeps away all the heavy and claustrophobic clouds.
