Congratulations Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs

Author Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs has just received a three year grant for artists to work fulltime on her writing from the Faroese Culture fund - Listafólkalønin 2023 from Mentanargrunnur Landsins. 

The literary committee says about Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs:

Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs is one of our most productive authors, who has published high quality literature for 20 years. She is acknowledged for her novels, poetry collections and plays. She has won awards and made a name for herself locally and globally. Currently her double work The Karma Goat and The Girl’s Room is nominated for Nordic Council’s Literature Prize. She has previously broken new ground with artistic collaborations with a.o. musician Eivør Pálsdóttir and film maker Sakaris Stórá. Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs has been writing full time the past year, and it is estimated that she will be successful in her ambitious plan to publish the third work in the trilogy a.o.
