Eyðun Klakstein in Icelandic

Eyðun Klakstein’s critically acclaimed crime novel Lygn (eng. Deceit) has been published in Iceland with the title Lygin. The novel was originally released in the Faroe Islands in November 2023 as the stand-alone sequel to List (2021). The Icelandic translation by Hjálmar Waag Árnason was published by Ugla.

The story tells of two acts of crime – and old one and a recent one. After Sáru Emmudóttir’s brother suddenly dies, she goes on a mission to uncover the truth about her past, which she has fled from. This leads her to an incident that took place 20 years previously, where a young woman died.

Gallerist Jón Amos receives an unusual assignment from a mysterious person. He is asked to find a distinctive and unknown art piece. Suddenly his life is turned upside down by a horrible incident.

Sára Emmudóttir and Jón Amos must work together when terrifying incidents affect their personal lives. To discover the truth they have to uncover ruthless lies.
