New YA Novel
"Sólgrátur" (Sun Cry) is the title of a new novel for young adults by Ingun Christensen which is released today. The novel is about the 15 year old teenage girl Aud who is adopted. She thinks life is difficult. In school the other students call her dirty names. Aud is also worried about her mother who is often ill in bed. She feels lonely and dreams about Columbia from where she knows she's been adopted. The whole situation gets worse when she starts getting nasty texts from an unregistered telephone number. And when her best friend moves to another school in another suburb things can hardly get worse. The book is published by BFL.
